Who are we?

The Cooke Warriors is the first official Touch Rugby club in the Ulster province. Comprising of male, female and junior players, we provide Touch Rugby to people of all ages and experience levels at Cooke Rugby Club, Belfast.

Originally named the Belfast Warriors, the club was founded in 2016 by Paul Brown and small group of men and women, who wanted to play a mixed code of rugby all year round. The club has since gone from strength to strength: competing successfully in Ireland-wide tournaments; establishing the first Women’s team; creating the first Juniors’ programme; and producing several Ireland team players and coaches.

In 2021, on the club’s fifth anniversary, the Belfast Warriors merged with Cooke Rugby Club to become the Cooke Warriors – the first official Touch section of any rugby club in the Ulster province. Many more exciting milestones and achievements lie ahead for the Cooke Warriors.
